TOGETHER, WE WILL GROW THE SEEDS OF A NEW JEWISH ENLIGHTENMENT IN EDINBURGH

Since our first recorded presence in Edinburgh in the 17th Century, Jews have contributed to every aspect of the city's life. Commerce, Medicine and Academia, amongst others, have all benefited from Jewish involvement as the city has grown and prospered. Edinburgh's worldwide reputation as 'The Festival City' is built upon upon the vision of the founder of the Edinburgh International Festival, Sir Rudolf Bing, a Jewish refugee from Central Europe.

Now Edinburgh Jewish Cultural Centre, in partnership with like-minded organisations, seeks to celebrate and share Judaism and Jewish culture with people of all faiths and none, Jews and non-Jews, Edinburgh folk and visitors to our great city, as we create a dynamic and vibrant Jewish life for the 21st Century.
